POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Maddy Catalanotti of the Marist women's soccer team was named the Jersey Mike's MAAC Defensive Player of the Week, announced Monday by the conference office. This marks the first time this season that Catalanotti has garnered the award.
This is the first time this season that a Marist player has received a MAAC weekly award.
In Marist's lone contest this weekend, Catalanotti tallied seven saves en route to the shutout in the Red Foxes' 2-0 road win over Sacred Heart. The shutout marked the third of the season for Catalanotti and the second in consecutive contests.
The Red Foxes will be back in action on Saturday, Sep. 21, when Marist continues MAAC play on the road at Mount St. Mary's. The match is set to start at 1 PM on ESPN+ from Waldron Family Stadium.
