Red Foxes Welcome Saint Peter's to McCann for Kids' Day

Women's Hoops Hosts Peacocks on Thursday at 11 AM

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY. – Marist women's basketball aims to snap its three-game skid Thursday, as the Red Foxes play host to Saint Peter's for a Kid's Day Game set for an 11 a.m. tip-off on ESPN+.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • Marist women's basketball struggled  as the Red Foxes came up short on the road against Fairfield, 70-31, Jan. 11 inside Leo D. Mahoney Arena.
LET CIARA COOK
  • Forward Ciara Croker returns for her junior campaign.
  • Croker is the daughter of Tara (Walsh) Croker, making Ciara the program's first legacy student-athlete.
  • On the season Croker is averaging career-high numbers in points (6.3), rebounds (3.5), steals (1.1) and assists (1.2) per game.
  • Her 1.1 steals per game is second on the team.
  • Croker notched 10 points, six rebounds, and two steals against Quinnipiac on Jan. 4.
  • She recorded 12 points against Iona on Jan. 2.
  • Croker tallied a career-high four steals against Bryant on Dec. 7.
  •  She recorded nine points, a career-high nine rebounds, and added two steals in the win over North Dakota on Dec. 1.
  • Croker scored eight points and went 4-for-4 from the floor to help lead Marist past Yale at home on Nov. 26.

  • Julia Corsentino returns for her sophomore campaign after 5.9 points per game as a rookie
  • Corsentino reached double-digit scoring in eight games last season, including a career-high 23-point effort against Lafayette on Nov. 15, 2023.
  • She is averaging career-bests 6.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game off the bench this season.
  • Corsentino tallied 12 points against Bryant on Dec. 17.
  • Prior to getting the start against Bryant, Corsentino had scored seven or more points off the bench in six of the last eight games.

SCOUTING THE PEACOCKS
  • Saint Peter's is led by Jennifer Leedham, who has totaled 12 wins in three seasons as the head coach of the program.
  • The Peacocks are 5-9 on the season and 3-2 in the MAAC entering Thursday's contest against the Red Foxes.
  • Saint Peter's is riding a two-game win streak entering Thursday's contest.
  • The Peacocks downed Canisius, 61-55, at home in their last time out on Saturday, Jan. 11.
  • Saint Peter's is averaging 52.0 points per game, while shooting 36.3% from the field and 28.7% from deep.
  • The Peacocks are led by Janneh Fatmata's 19.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game, both of which are tops in the MAAC.
