Box Score LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – The Marist men's soccer team fell 3-1 to Siena in a MAAC matchup on Wednesday afternoon at Hickey Field.
The Red Foxes drop to 7-4-3 on the season and 3-4-1 in the MAAC, while the Saints improve to 6-5-4 overall and 5-1-3 in conference play.
Marist jumped out to an early lead in the second minute when junior midfielder 
Arion Ulaj flicked a backward pass to junior midfielder 
Kyle Evans, who took two touches before blasting the ball into the back of the net.
The Red Foxes controlled much of the first half, tallying 11 shots and five on target while limiting the Saints to just two attempts, including one on frame.
Siena broke through early in the second half, leveling the score in the 57th minute on a goal from Campbell Stalker. The Saints then took the lead in the 68th minute when Lucas Almeida found the back of the net. Alemeida added his second goal of the day in the 76th minute to make it 3-1.
For the match, Marist held a 18-7 advantage in shots while both teams tallied five shots on targets. Siena goalkeeper Bennet Glinder turned aside four shots, while graduate student goalkeeper 
Jamie Lowell made two stops for the Red Foxes.
 
The Red Foxes return home for Senior Day on Saturday, Nov. 1, when they host Manhattan at 6 p.m. at Tenney Stadium.
