LAWRENCEVILLE, New Jersey - Marist Volleyball closed out its 2025 campaign on Saturday afternoon, falling 3–0 (19–25, 17–25, 17–25) on the road at Rider inside Alumni Gymnasium. The match marked the Red Foxes' final contest of the season.
Marist (10–20, 8–10 MAAC) put together stretches of strong play in all three sets but was ultimately unable to overcome Rider's efficiency at the net. The Red Foxes totaled 28 kills on the day, led by Sara Dasic, who finished with a team-high eight kills and added four digs. Eleana Koute added seven kills, while Mallory Reck chipped in six.
Freshman setter Claire Lewis directed the offense with 13 assists, while Caelyn Dumas contributed 10 assists, two service aces, and four digs off the bench. Defensively, Cecilia Potter-Pessoa paced Marist with eight digs, and Mikayla Keefer and Ava Lanzetta each recorded a pair of blocks.
Rider (14–15, 12–6 MAAC) hit .235 as a team and controlled play at the net with 11 total blocks, while also delivering seven service aces.
Marist battled through a back-and-forth opening set that featured three ties before the Broncs pulled away late. In sets two and three, the Red Foxes made several mid-set pushes—highlighted by a Reck service ace, a pair of kills from Taylor Miller, and a late three-point surge in the third—but Rider's balanced attack closed out each frame.
The match concludes the 2025 season for the Red Foxes, who will now look ahead to offseason development and the return of a young core poised to take a step forward in 2026.
