POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University men's basketball team earned a 76-65 victory over Army West Point at McCann Arena at McCann Arena on Friday night.
 

Summary

• Army led for most of the first 10 minutes. A three-pointer by Jackson Mayo gave the Black Knights their largest lead, 13-9 at the 11:32 mark.
• Over the final 8:34 of the first half, Marist outscored Army 14-6. The Red Foxes led by as much as seven, and took a 28-22 lead to the locker room.
• Army scored the first five points of the second half, and tied the game on a three-pointer by Kevin McCarthy with 17:00 to go.
• Myles Parker scored nine straight Marist points, which lifted Marist to a 55-46 lead with 8:27 to go.

• Marist expanded its lead to a game-high 17 thanks to a 10-0 run, which included four points from Jason Schofield.
• The Red Foxes led by at least 11 the rest of the way.

• Parker led all scorers with 17 points, 15 of which came in the second half. He also hauled in six rebounds and had two steals.

• Elijah Lewis finished with 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds.

• The Red Foxes had four double-digit scorers, as Jadin Collins-Roberts scored 12 and Rhyjon Blackwell had 10.
• Justin Menard scored eight points, had a team-high six assists, grabbed five rebounds, and had two steals against just one turnover.
• Marist held Army to .379 (22-for-58) shooting from the field and .219 (7-for-32) from three-point range.
• Marist shot .576 (19-for-33) from the field in the second half.

 

Notes

• The 22 points allowed by Marist in the first half were the lowest allowed by the Red Foxes this season. The 48 points the Red Foxes scored in the second half were their most in a half this year.
• Parker 's 17 points were a career high.
• Lewis and Blackwell have each scored in double figures in four of Marist's five games this season.
• Marist has held all five opponents this season under 40 from the field.
• This was the 24^th all-time meeting between Marist and Army. Marist has now won three straight, and leads the all-time series 13-11.
