Men’s Basketball Pulls Away from Army

Parker Erupts in Second Half, Scores Career-High 17

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University men's basketball team earned a 76-65 victory over Army West Point at McCann Arena at McCann Arena on Friday night.
 
Summary
  • Army led for most of the first 10 minutes. A three-pointer by Jackson Mayo gave the Black Knights their largest lead, 13-9 at the 11:32 mark.
  • Over the final 8:34 of the first half, Marist outscored Army 14-6. The Red Foxes led by as much as seven, and took a 28-22 lead to the locker room.
  • Army scored the first five points of the second half, and tied the game on a three-pointer by Kevin McCarthy with 17:00 to go.
  • Myles Parker scored nine straight Marist points, which lifted Marist to a 55-46 lead with 8:27 to go.
  • Marist expanded its lead to a game-high 17 thanks to a 10-0 run, which included four points from Jason Schofield.
