Red Foxes Head to St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. for Paradise Jam

Marist to Play #5 LSU on Nov. 28 & Washington St. or Miami (OH) on Nov. 29

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist University women's basketball team returns to action in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., as the Red Foxes take on #5 LSU in a non-conference matchup on Friday, Nov. 28. Tip-off from Elridge Wilburn Blake Sports and Fitness Center is set for 8 p.m. on ESPN+.

The following day, the Red Foxes will take on either Washington State or Miami (OH) at 5 or 7:30 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes fell 72-64 in overtime to non-conference opponent Monmouth on Nov. 24 at McCann Arena.
  • Junior forward Karly Fischer led the Red Foxes with 18 points and seven rebounds.
  • Sophomore guard Danielle Williamsen added 15 points, while freshman forward Justine Henry contributed 12 points and six rebounds.
  • Senior captain guard Lexie Tarul recorded her first double-double with 10 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.

  • LSU, 6-0 on the season, is led by Kim Mulkey, who boasts 128 wins in her fifth season as head coach of the Tigers.
  • The Tigers head to Paradise Jam coming off a 112-49 victory over Alcorn State. They have scored 100+ points in each game this season.
  • LSU has six players averaging double-digit points, led by MiLaysia Fulwiley who averages 17.7 points per game.
  • LSU was picked to finish third in the SEC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
HISTORY VS. LSU
  • Friday's contest against LSU will mark Marist's third against the Tigers.

  • Amber Scalia leads four Hawks who average double-digit points with 14.5 points per game
  • Miami (OH) was picked to finish seventh in the MAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
