SMITHFIELD, Rhode Island – The Marist University men's basketball team won its fifth straight game on Saturday, as the Red Foxes earned an 82-74 road victory over Bryant in a non-conference game.
 
Justin Menard led the way with a career-high 27 points.
 

Summary

• Bryant took its largest lead of the game, 23-18 with 8:42 left in the first half, thanks to a 10-2 run.

• Menard hit two three-pointers in 30 seconds to give Marist its largest lead of the game, 55-39 with 12:53 to play.

• In the final minute, Bryant got as close as four. But Menard sealed the victory by going 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the last 30 seconds.

 

Stats

• Menard led all scorers with 27 points. He shot 7-for-12 from the field, 5-for-7 from three-point range, and 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. He also contributed four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Menard scored 23 points in the second half.
• Elijah Lewis had 18 points, three rebounds, two steals, and an assist. Lewis shot 7-for-11 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line.
• Jason Schofield gave Marist three double-digit scorers with 12 points off the bench on 6-for-9 shooting.
• Jadin Collins-Roberts had a team-high four assists, tied for the team lead with four rebounds, and scored six points.
• Marist shot .509 (28-for-55) from the field, .375 (6-for-16) from three-point range, and .952 (20-for-21) from the line.
• Tim Rudovskii led Bryant with 17 points and six rebounds.
