POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Three Marist University football players were named Football Championship Subdivision All-Americans by The Associated Press on Tuesday.
Â
Graduate tight end
Connor Hulstein was honored as a Second Team All-American. Graduate offensive lineman
Dominic Perricone and sophomore defensive back
Nate Robinson Jr. were named Honorable Mention All-Americans. This is the first time in program history that the Red Foxes have had three players earn All-America honors from The Associated Press in a single season.
Â
Hulstein became just the second Red Fox in program history to be named a Second Team All-American by The Associated Press, following Terrence Fede's selection in 2013. In the regular season, he ranked first in receiving yards (599), second in touchdowns (seven), and fourth in receptions (42) among FCS tight ends. He set Marist's single-season records for receiving yards, yards per reception (14.3), and touchdowns by a tight end. He had a career-high 92 receiving yards in back-to-back games against Stetson and Davidson, and he had a reception of over 50 yards in both games.
Â
Perricone was named First Team All-Pioneer Football League for the second straight season. He became just the second offensive lineman in program history to be named First Team All-PFL multiple times in his career. Perricone started all 45 games Marist played in the past three seasons, and he was a three-year starter at right guard after playing right tackle in 2022. He played 97 percent of the Red Foxes' snaps this season.
Â
Robinson was a finalist for this season's Buck Buchanan Award, which is presented to the top defensive player in the FCS. A First Team All-PFL selection, his 15 passes defensed this season ranked sixth in the FCS during the regular season and were the most by a Red Fox since 2002. He recorded four interceptions and 11 pass break-ups on the season. Robinson was named FCS and PFL Defensive Player of the Week following a 10-tackle, two-interception performance at Wagner on Sept. 13.
Â
The Marist football program completed its second season under the leadership of head coach
Mike Willis in 2025.
