Men’s Basketball Prevails Over Mount in Conference Opener

Red Foxes Hold Mount To One Field Goal in the Final Nine Minutes

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University men's basketball team earned a 64-56 victory over Mount St. Mary's in its Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener on Friday night at McCann Arena.
 
Summary
  • Mount jumped out to an 8-0 lead just 2:09 into the game.
  • Marist countered with a 16-1 run, and held Mount without a field goal for 9:32.
  • Marist led by as much as 13 in the first half, and took a 30-20 lead to the locker room.
