WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina - The Marist baseball team opens the 2025 season with a four-game weekend including two games against LIU and Wake Forest. The Red Foxes begin the season against two College World Series Regional finalists on Feb. 14.
Lance Ratchford enters his third season as head coach for the Red Foxes. Ratchford is joined by Mike Coss who was promoted to Associate Head Coach for the upcoming season. Along with assistant coaches
Ray Sanchez and Niko Amory.
Sophomore outfielder
Lewis Rodriguez returns to the Red Foxes for his second season. Rodriguez appeared and started in 55 games as a freshman.

Riley Orr who appeared in 16 games and started in nine on the mound.

- Slashed a .275 batting average and a .396 on-base percentage.
- Recorded 10 doubles and seven home runs.
- Tallied 30 runs batted in and 46 runs scored.
- Made his first appearance in the season opener, a loss to Southern Miss. Hartley went four innings, giving up four runs and striking out four.
- Finished with a 3-6 record in 51 innings through 17 appearances. Made eight starts, tallying a 1.922 WHIP.
- Struck out 44 batters, finishing with a K/9 near seven.
- Threw six shutout innings against Saint Peter's, striking out nine and only allowing three baserunners.
- The Sharks finished 33-25 overall on the 2024 season and captured the NEC Conference Championship.
- The Sharks made it to the College World Series Regional.
- The Sharks lost 11-8 to North Carolina and 5-2 to Wofford which eliminated them from the tournament.
- The Sharks were selected to finish first in the NEC.

- Benjamin Fierenzi recorded a .324 batting average, .429 on-base percentage, tallied 70 hits, drove in 42 RBIs, and belted four HRs.
- The Demon Deacons finished 38-22 overall on the 2024 season and were semi-finalists in the ACC Tournament.
- The Demon Deacons made it to the College World Series Regional.
- The Demon Deacons lost 1-0 to VCU and 7-6 to East Carolina which eliminated them from the tournament.
- The Demon Deacons were selected to finish sixth in the ACC.
- Player to watch:
- Marist transfer Ethan Conrad recorded a .389 batting average, .425 on-base percentage, tallied 88 hits, drove in 52 RBIs, and belted nine HRs.
