GENEVA, Ohio- The Marist men's swim and dive team had a record-breaking night filled with medals on the second day of the 2025 MAAC Championships.
James Conable earned gold in the 200-yard IM, breaking the Marist school record and the MAAC record.
Adam Zaremba earned bronze in the 500-yard freestyle for the Red Foxes, showing a dominant display in the back half of the race.
The Red Foxes improved to second place on day two of the MAAC Championships with 129 points. The Red Foxes trail Niagara by 13 points heading into the third day of competition.
- "We had several lifetime bests to start off the evening session. The momentum carried everyone going into the 200 IM with James (Conable) throwing down a new lifetime best, which was also a MAAC and school record. The old adage "If you have a lane, you have a chance" played as we moved up some places in the 50 free. Our 200 free relay was just off the school record, so it was a great way to end the evening. Tomorrow is a strong day for us, but as we've seen so far, this MAAC meet is anyones race."
