Conable Captures Gold And Sets Marist Record On Day Three Of MAAC Championships

Red Foxes 400-Yard Medley Relay Team Set New School Record In Finals

GENEVA, Ohio- The Marist men's swim and dive team had another record-setting night on day three of the 2025 MAAC Championships.

The Red Foxes enter the final day of competition in third place after three days of competition with 402.5 points. The Red Foxes trail first-place Niagara (427.5) and second-place Fairfield (424.5).
 
Notable Finishes, Swim
  • In the first event of the evening, Kellen Fletcher captured bronze in the 100-yard butterfly. Fletcher reached the podium with a dominant swim, timing in at 47.95. The time was a millisecond away from a new school record.
  • In the next event of the evening, James Conable captured gold in the 400-yard IM with a record-breaking swim. Conable timed in at 3:50.44, which broke his own school record in the swim.
    • Hunter Emerson also reached the podium for the Red Foxes and captured bronze in his impressive swim. Emerson swam his way to bronze with a time of 3:55.68.
  • Adam Zaremba reached the A-final for the Red Foxes in the 200-yard freestyle. Zaremba swam his way to a seventh-place finish with a time of 1:38.48.
  • In the final solo event of the evening, Quinn Smith led the Red Foxes in the A-final of the 100-yard backstroke. Smith swam an impressive race with a time of 49.51, which placed him seventh overall.
  • In the 400-yard medley relay, the Red Foxes set another school record in the process. The team of Quinn Smith, Caden Hardy, Kellen Fletcher, and Mason DeLisio set a new school record with a time of 3:17.06. The relay team finished sixth in the A-final.
  
Notable Finishes, Dive
  • Ethan Gibbs had another podium finish at the MAAC Championships, this time in the three-meter dive.
    • Gibbs captured a second bronze medal in diving for the Red Foxes, with an outstanding score of 269.25.
  • Patrick Rankin rounded out the Red Foxes diving in the A-final with an eight-place finish. Rankin dove to an impressive of 144.00 for the Red Foxes.
