Baseball Falls To LIU In Late-Night Game

Donahue, McNelly Led The Red Foxes With Two RBIs Apiece

WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina- The Marist baseball team dropped a late-night game against LIU, Saturday night into Sunday morning. The Red Foxes scored six runs on seven hits but fell to LIU 11-6.

The Red Foxes moved to 0-3 on the year heading into the final game of opening weekend.

  • LIU regained the lead in the bottom of the seventh with three runs.
    • The Red Foxes trailed 8-6 after seven innings of play.
  • LIU would add three more runs to their lead in the bottom-half of the eight, extending their lead over the Red Foxes 11-6. The Red Foxes would have bases-loaded to attempt the comeback, but fell 11-6.
