Red Foxes Open Buffalo Trip at Canisius Thursday

Women's Hoops Looks to End Two-Game Skid

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Marist women's basketball aims to snap its two-game skid, as it heads to Buffalo to open its road trip against Canisius on Thursday at 6 p.m. inside Koessler Athletic Arena. 

LAST TIME OUT
  • Junior Morgan Lee scored a team-high 16 points, as Marist women's basketball was downed by MAAC foe Merrimack at home, 55-48, Saturday afternoon inside McCann Arena.
  • Jackie Piddock added 10 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds in the loss
  • Danielle Williamsen recorded a career-high five steals in the loss.
 
COUNT ON JACK
  • Jackie Piddock returns for her junior campaign after averaging 6.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game as a sophomore last season.
  • On the season Piddock is averaging 5.1 points, 3.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
  • Piddock has led the Red Foxes in assists in 14 contests this season.
  • Piddock has knocked down at least two three-point field goals in six games this season.
  • She recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and seven rebounds against Merrimack on Feb. 15.
  • Piddock tallied 10 points, four assists, and three rebounds in the win over Iona on Feb. 8.
  • She recorded eight rebounds, seven assists, and five steals in the win over the Mount on Dec. 19.
  • Piddock notched eight points and added a season-high seven assists in the victory over Yale on Nov. 26.
  • She totaled 10 points and two steals against Stony Brook on Nov. 18.
  • Piddock tallied nine points and four assists in the opener against Drexel on Nov. 7.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN GRIFFINS
  • Canisius is led by Tiffany Swoffard who has totaled seven wins in her first season as the head coach of the program.
  • The Golden Griffins are 7-17 on the season and 6-8 in the MAAC entering Thursday's contest against the Red Foxes.
  • Canisius has won two of its last three games.
  • The Golden Griffins came up short on the road at Mount St. Mary's, 72-59, this past Saturday.

  • Thursday's contest against Canisius will be the 64th ever matchup with the Golden Griffins.
