Women's Hoops Opens March With Road Bout at Saint Peter

Red Foxes Take Aim at Fourth Straight Win

JERSEY CITY, NY – Marist women's basketball looks to stay hot and extend its win streak to four, as the Red Foxes take on MAAC foes Saint Peter's on the road Saturday inside The Victor R. Yanitelli, S.J. Recreational Life Center at 2 PM on ESPN+. 

LAST TIME OUT
  • Lexie Tarul scored a career-high 23 points to lead Marist women's basketball past Sacred Heart, 68-61, Feb. 27 inside McCann Arena.
  • She knocked down a career-best six three-pointers in the win and scored 20 of her 23 points in the first half of the contest.
  • Danielle Williamsen added 13 points Williamsen has scored 13 or more points in three straight games.
  • Morgan Lee totaled 15 points and 13 rebounds for the double-double.

  • Redshirt junior Lexie Tarul returns for her second year with the Red Foxes.
  • Tarul is averaging a career-best 12.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game per game.

  • Saint Peter's is led by Jennifer Leedham who has totaled 19 wins in three seasons as the head coach of the program.
  • The Peacocks are 10-16 on the season and 8-9 in the MAAC entering Saturday's contest against the Red Foxes.

  • The Peacocks came up short at home against Quinnipiac, 74-65, this past Thursday.

HISTORY VS SAINT PETER'S
  • Saturday's contest against Saint Peter's will be the 65th ever matchup with the Peacocks.
