Red Foxes Head to New Rochelle for MAAC Matinee Saturday With Iona

Women's Hoops Looks to Snap Two-Game Skid

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Marist women's basketball aims to snap its two-game skid, as the Red Foxes travel to take MAAC foe Iona Saturday inside the Hynes Athletic Center at 1 p.m. on ESPN+.
 

LAST TIME OUT
  • Danielle Williamsen and Malea Egan scored nine points apiece, as Marist women's basketball was downed by MAAC foe Fairfield at home, 80-49, Thursday evening inside McCann Arena.
  • Morgan Lee added six points, five rebounds, and five blocks in the loss
  • Egan's nine points marked a new career-high for the sophomore.
LIGHTS OUT LEXIE
  • Redshirt junior Lexie Tarul returns for her second year with the Red Foxes.
  • Tarul is averaging a career-best 11.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 0.9 steals per game per game
  • She leads the team and is fourth in the MAAC with 44 made three-pointers this season.

SCOUTING THE GAELS
  • • Iona is led by Angelika Szumilo who has totaled 20 wins so far in her two seasons as the head coach of the program.
  • The Gaels are 9-13 on the season and 7-5 in the MAAC entering Saturday's contest against the Red Foxes.
