Baseball Returns to MAAC Action Against Saint Peter’s

Red Foxes Hold A 6-5 Record In MAAC Play

JERSEY CITY, New Jersey - The Marist baseball team is set to resume conference play with a series against the Saint Peter's Peacocks beginning on Friday, April 11.

The Red Foxes enter the series at 14-17 overall and 6-5 in MAAC play.
 
Last Time Out
  • The Red Foxes dropped a road contest to Army 8-7 on Wednesday, April 9.
  • Marist put up a combined six runs in the seventh and eighth inning in the loss.
  • Chris Diaz recorded the most hits for the Red Foxes on the night, going 3-for-4 at the plate.
  • Zach Donahue collected the most RBIs for Marist with three, going 2-for-5 on the night.
  • AJ Brotz delivered a 2-for-4 performance with two RBIs himself in the loss.
  • Ethan Marzo threw two scoreless innings, marking six consecutive appearances without allowing a run for the sophomore.

    • Vining leads the team in average [.406], OPS [1.102], SLG [.660] total bases [70] and RBIs [39].
    • The senior also knocked the most homeruns on the team with eight.
    • Vining's .406 batting average is good for first among all MAAC players.
