Box Score NEW WINDSOR, NY—The Marist women's tennis team opened the first leg of its packed weekend schedule by defeating the reigning MAAC Champion, Fairfield, 4-3, on Saturday evening.

The Red Foxes started strong, taking the doubles point thanks to Vihana Shresta and Caterina Assi at #2, who won 6-2, and Ellen Zureick and Viktoria Lorentzon at #3, who took it 6-3.

With this result, the Red Foxes improved to 10-6 overall and 3-2 in MAAC play. The Stags dropped to 5-12 overall and 4-1 in MAAC play.
