NEW YORK, NY – The Marist women's soccer team begins its 2025 campaign with a road contest against Fordham on Friday, August 15. The game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. from Moglia Stadium on ESPN+.
 

2025 SEASON PREVIEW

• The Red Foxes were picked 10th of 13 teams in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll
• Marist returns 19 members from last season's team, including captains Olivia Lindsay, Gabby Tirado, Julia Loncar, and Maddy Catalanotti
• Marist is set to take on six non-conference opponents. Its home opener will be against NJIT on Sunday, August 24
• The non-conference matchups will finish on Tuesday, September 9, at home against New Haven
• The Red Foxes will open conference play at home against Iona on Saturday, September 6

SCOUTING THE RAMS

• Fordham opens its season picked third in the A-10 Coaches' Poll
• Fordham's Liina Tervo and Lena Johnsen earned preseason All-Conference honors
• Tervo, the 2024 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year and First Team All-Atlantic 10 selectionwas ranked in the top 25 freshmen in the country by TopDrawerSoccer. 
• She led the team with 10 goals, eight assists, and 28 points, setting freshman school records in all three categories.
• Johnsen earned Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team honors as a freshman.
• In 2024, she started all 19 games in the midfield and was the team leader in minutes played (1,639).

HISTORY VS FORDHAM

• Friday's contest will mark the sixth contest between the two programs
• Fordham holds a record of 3-2 against Marist
• The last time the two squads faced off, Marist came away with a 2-1 victory on Sept. 2, 2021 in Poughkeepsie

NEXT TIME OUT

• The Red Foxes will be back in action on Thursday, Aug. 21, when Marist travels to Hamilton, NY for a date with Colgate.
• The contest is set for a 6 p.m. start
