Red Foxes Set for Thursday Battle With Binghamton at Home

Women's Soccer Aims for First Win of 2025 vs. Bearcats

NEW YORK, NY – The Marist women's soccer team continues its 2025 non-conference slate, hosting the Binghamton Bearcats at Tenney Stadium on Thursday, August 28. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. on ESPN+. 
 
  LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes came up short, narrowly falling, 3-2, against NJIT this past Sunday
  • Senior Captain Olivia Lindsay notched her first goal of the season, and freshman Isabella Seibert tallied her first career goal for Marist
  • Freshman Jiji Sweiss and sophomore Sophia DeJoia both added their first career assists
  SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
  • Binghamton enters play at 2-1 on the season
  • The Bearcats won their first two matches against Lehigh and St. Bonaventure 2-1 apiece, and dropped their last game to Monmouth 2-0, this past Sunday
  • Sophomore Jahkaya Davis leads Binghamton with two goals and four points, with both goals against St. Bonaventure
  • Three different players have registered a goal for the Bearcats
  • Junior goalkeeper Rebecca Kessler has a 1-1 record in three games played with three goals allowed and nine saves 
  • Sophomore Anna Buckwalter was named the 2024 America East Rookie of the Year, along with being named to the All-Conference Second Team last season
  • The Bearcats were picked tied with New Hampshire to finish first in the Preseason America East Coaches Poll
  HISTORY VS BINGHAMTON
  • This will be the fifth matchup all-time between Marist and Binghamton, with a 1-1-2 record between the schools
  • The Red Foxes and Bearcats tied 1-1 in the last meeting on Aug. 25, 2022 in Poughkeepsie
  NEXT TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes will travel to Worcester to face Holy Cross on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m.
  • Marist will be back at home on Saturday, Sep. 6 at 7 p.m. against Iona
