POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's cross country team opened its 2025 campaign with a victory at the Marist Home Invite, on Saturday. Following the meet the program hosted its senior day ceremony, honoring its six senior athletes. The event took place at Vassar Farms in Poughkeepsie, New York.
The women's team took home first overall with a total of 30 points, putting them ten points ahead of second place Fairfield and 55 ahead of third place Iona.
On par for senior day, Senior Parker O'Brien brought home the win with a time of 18:51.4 in the 5k.
Emily Litke stole third with her PR of 19:00.7.
Julia Zydanowicz followed closely behind coming in at 19:04.2 for fourth place overall.
