POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist women's tennis turned in a dominant performance on Saturday, defeating Monmouth 7-0.

The Red Foxes secured the doubles point with wins at first and third doubles. Viktoria Lorentzon and Vihana Shresta opened strong at No. 1 doubles with a 6-3 victory over Monmouth's McKinney and Cano, while Jane Wright and Tessa Wachtel teamed up for a decisive 6-1 win at No. 3.

In singles action, Marist controlled the match from start to finish. Lorentzon earned a straight-set win at No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-3), while Cloe Clements-Sorde cruised at the No. 2 spot with a commanding 6-0, 6-2 victory. Wachtel battled through a marathon match at No. 3, rallying for a 2-6, 6-4, 14-12 win to extend the Red Foxes' lead.

Shresta followed with a hard-fought win at No. 4 singles, taking down Fisher 6-4, 3-6, 10-5, while Yasmin Asnis posted a 7-5, 6-0 win at the No. 5 spot. Closing out the day, Ella Lindsey delivered a flawless performance at No. 6 singles, not dropping a game in a 6-0, 6-0 sweep.

With the victory, the Red Foxes notched a strong fall result and built momentum heading into their upcoming slate.
