Men’s Basketball Wins Third Straight

Red Foxes Roll to Impressive Victory at Rider

LAWRENCEVILLE, New Jersey – The Marist University men's basketball team earned its third straight win on Sunday with a 71-49 triumph over Rider in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game on Sunday at Alumni Gymnasium.
 
Summary
  • Rider scored first 1:04 into the contest, but Marist countered with a 13-1 run. The Red Foxes held the Broncs without a field goal for 9:15.
  • Rider got within three late in the first half, but the Red Foxes closed the half with an 8-2 run, punctuated by Jadin Collins-Roberts' three-pointer in the waning seconds.
  • A 7-0 run extended Marist's lead to 16 with 16:24 to go.
  • A jumper by Justin Menard extended Marist's lead to 20, which forced a Rider timeout with 13:00 remaining.
