POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist University women's basketball team (6-12 overall, 3-5 MAAC) continues conference play against Sacred Heart, as the Red Foxes face the Pioneers on Monday, Jan. 19. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
 

LAST TIME OUT

• The Marist University women's basketball team was defeated by Quinnipiac, 59-47, on Saturday afternoon at M&T Bank Arena.
• After trailing by as many as 17 points, the Red Foxes cut the deficit to three in the fourth quarter, but the Bobcats used a late run to hold on for the win.
• Sophomore guard Danielle Williamsen led the Red Foxes with14 points and five rebounds.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS

• Sacred Heart, 7-10 on the season, is led by Jessica Mannetti in her 13th year as head coach.
• The Pioneers have gotten off to a 5-3 start in MAAC play.
• Amelia Wood averages 15.1 points per game to lead the Pioneers on offense.
• SHU was picked to finish 12th in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

• Monday's contest against Sacred Heart will mark Marist's third against the Pioneers.
• The Red Foxes are 2-0 in the all-time series, most recently earning a 57-55 win on Dec. 29 at McCann Arena.
