Red Foxes Host Niagara Saturday Afternoon

Tip-Off From McCann Arena Set for 2 p.m. on ESPN+

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist University women's basketball team (8-14 overall, 5-7 MAAC) continues conference play against Niagara, as the Red Foxes host the Purple Eagles on Saturday, Jan. 31. Tip-off from McCann Arena is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes earned a 60-53 victory over Canisius on Thursday evening at McCann Arena.
  • Sophomore guard Danielle Williamsen led the Red Foxes with 15 points, five assists, and four rebounds. Freshman forward Justine Henry added 14 points, six rebounds, and two steals.
  • Marist built a lead as large as 20 points before Canisius used a 19-2 run in the third quarter to cut the deficit to two, but the Red Foxes persevered down the stretch to secure the win.
SCOUTING THE PURPLE EAGLES
  • Niagara, 0-20 on the season, is led by Jada Pierce in her 11th year as head coach.
  • The Purple Eagles are 0-11 in MAAC play.
  • Talia Dial averages 12.9 points per game to lead the Purple Eagles on offense.
