POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist University women's basketball team continues conference play against Merrimack, as the Red Foxes face the Warriors on Thursday, Jan. 8. Tip-off from Lawler Arena is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
 

LAST TIME OUT

• The Red Foxes earned their second consecutive MAAC victory, defeating Manhattan 62-57 at Draddy Gymnasium on Jan. 3.
• Senior captain forward Ciara Croker paced the Red Foxes with a career-high 19 points on an efficient 8-for-10 from the field, to go along with eight rebounds and three assists.
• Senior captain guard Lexie Tarul added 18 points including 4-for-7 shooting from three-point range, while freshman forward Justine Henry finished with 10 points and a team-high nine rebounds.

SCOUTING THE WARRIORS

• Merrimack, 6-7 on the season, is led by Kelly Morrone in her 6th year as head coach.
• The Warriors haven gotten off to a 3-1 start in MAAC play, with three straight wins over the Mount, Rider, and Saint Peter's.
• Mia Fiore averages 13.8 points per game to lead the Warriors.
• Merrimack was picked to finish eighth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

HISTORY VS. MERRIMACK

• Thursday's contest against Merrimack will mark Marist's third against the Warriors.
• The Red Foxes are 0-2 in the all-time series.

• Marist is shooting 78.2% (154-for-197) from the free throw line this season, which ranks second in the MAAC and 13th in NCAA Division I.
• The Red Foxes have two players shooting over 80.0% from the charity stripe (min. 10 attempts) in Jackie Piddock, Justine Henry, and Lexie Tarul.
• Piddock is shooting 87.5% (21-for-24) from the line.
• Henry is shooting 83.1% (49-for-59) from the line.
• Tarul is shooting 80.5% (33-for-41) from the line.
