Marist Travels to Merrimack for MAAC Matchup

Red Foxes Seek Third Straight Conference Win

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist University women's basketball team continues conference play against Merrimack, as the Red Foxes face the Warriors on Thursday, Jan. 8. Tip-off from Lawler Arena is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes earned their second consecutive MAAC victory, defeating Manhattan 62-57 at Draddy Gymnasium on Jan. 3.
  • Senior captain forward Ciara Croker paced the Red Foxes with a career-high 19 points on an efficient 8-for-10 from the field, to go along with eight rebounds and three assists.
  • Senior captain guard Lexie Tarul added 18 points including 4-for-7 shooting from three-point range, while freshman forward Justine Henry finished with 10 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
SCOUTING THE WARRIORS
  • Merrimack, 6-7 on the season, is led by Kelly Morrone in her 6th year as head coach.
  • The Warriors haven gotten off to a 3-1 start in MAAC play, with three straight wins over the Mount, Rider, and Saint Peter's.
