Red Foxes Return to Action at TCNJ Invite

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Marist men's and women's indoor track and field returns to action on Friday with the TCNJ Indoor Invitational hosted by Technical College of New Jersey inside The Armory.
 
MEN'S LAST TIME OUT 
  • The men's track and field team opened its 2025-26 indoor campaign at the Fastrack Season Opener and the Army Indoor Invite
  • Sprinter Amari Mathis placed second in the 60-meter dash at Fastrack in a personal-best 6.80—one of the fastest openers in program history. 
  • Marist produced a standout showing in the 400 meters, with Ryan Trocolar finishing runner-up in 49.24
  • The strongest event of the day came in the 800 meters, where Marist swept the top two spots. Joaquin Bell-Andrade claimed the event title in a personal-best 1:54.99, edging teammate Cole Lucas
  •  Luke Adami delivered one of the highlights of the meet by breaking the school record in the long jump, soaring 7.07 meters
  • The Red Foxes led the charge at the Army Invite in the 5,000-meter run
  • Steven Viera led the Red Foxes with a composed wire-to-wire performance at 15:34.01. 
  • Kevin Cannon followed closely behind, taking second in 15:40.57 to help secure a Marist sweep of the top two positions.
WOMEN'S LAST TIME OUT AT FASTRACK
  • The Marist women's track and field team opened its 2025-26 indoor campaign in record-setting fashion on Friday at the Fastrack Season Opener
  • Gabrielle Bozeth exploded to a school-record 7.67 in the 60-meter dash
  • Julia Kropo ran a commanding wire-to-wire victory in 57.98 in the 400-meter, lowering the school record previously held since 2017. 
  • In the 60-meter hurdles, Madison LaCreta added the team's third school record of the day, running 9.00 to eclipse a mark that had stood since 2007. 
UP NEXT
  • The Red Foxes will be back in action for then Gotham Cup on Friday, Jan. 16.
