POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist University women's basketball team continues conference play against Rider, as the Red Foxes host the Broncs on Saturday, Jan. 10. Tip-off from McCann Arena is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
 

LAST TIME OUT

• The Red Foxes lost in heartbreaking fashion, falling 59-57 to Merrimack in overtime on Jan. 8 at Lawler Arena.
• Senior captain guard Jackie Piddock led the way with 17 points, five assists, and four rebounds. 
• Senior captain guard Lexie Tarul added 11 points and eight rebounds, while freshman forward Justine Henry contributed 10 points and six rebounds.

SCOUTING THE BRONCS

• Rider, 3-12 on the season, is led by Jackie Hartzell in her first year as head coach.
• The Broncs haven gotten off to a 1-5 start in MAAC play, previously defeating Siena 61-59 on Jan. 8.
• Kristina Ekofo averages 11.6 points per game to lead the Broncs.
• Rider was picked to finish last in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

HISTORY VS. RIDER

• Saturday's contest against Rider will mark Marist's  75th against the Broncs.
• The Red Foxes are 51-23 in the all-time series and are 25-10 at home.

CASH AT THE LINE

• Marist is shooting 78.5% (172-for-219) from the free throw line this season, which leads the MAAC and ranks 12th in NCAA Division I.
• The Red Foxes have two players shooting over 80.0% from the charity stripe (min. 10 attempts) in Jackie Piddock, Justine Henry, and Lexie Tarul.
• Piddock is shooting 91.2% (31-for-34) from the line.
• Henry is shooting 82.0% (50-for-61) from the line.
• Tarul is shooting 80.9% (38-for-47) from the line.
• The Red Foxes shot a perfect 100% (12-for-12) in the loss to Miami (OH) on Nov. 29 and 92.3% (12-for-13) in the win over Holy Cross on Nov. 16.
