Football Plays Season's First PFL Road Contest at Stetson

Red Foxes & Hatters Set for 1 p.m. Kickoff Saturday in Florida

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University football team (2-2 overall, 1-0 Pioneer Football League) plays its first Pioneer Football League road game of the season on Saturday, when the Red Foxes travel to Stetson (1-3, 0-0). Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

Block That Kick
  • Entering this week, Marist leads all of Division I football in blocked punts, and is tied for the Division I lead in total blocked kicks.
  • Marist has blocked a kick in every game this season. Dylan Gilmore blocked a punt at New Haven that was recovered for a touchdown by Zach Garmont. Braylen Ricks blocked a PAT vs. Franklin Pierce. Jayden Taylor blocked a punt at Lafayette. Against Presbyterian, Jared Bernabei blocked a punt that was returned by Jayden Taylor for a touchdown, and Niles Riding blocked a punt.
  • In its last 18 games, dating back to the second-to-last game of the 2024 season, Marist has scored five special teams touchdowns.

  • Marist is one of 14 teams in the FCS that has not lost a fumble this season.
  • Marist is tied for sixth in the FCS in fewest turnovers committed (two through four games).
