BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Elevated heat conditions and rapidly rising temperatures forced the cancellation of the final six races at the 52nd Paul Short Run, on Friday afternoon at Lehigh's Goodman Campus Course.
The decision was made following consultation between on-site medical personnel and Lehigh Athletics administrators to prioritize the safety and well-being of all student-athletes and participants.
The men's and women's Open and College Gold races were successfully completed earlier in the day. Marist's Rachel Turek ran in the women's open race and completed the 6K at 25:03.1.
The Red Foxes will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 10, when Marist takes part in the Metropolitan Championships, hosted by NJIT.
