Marist Baseball Set For Opening Weekend In Tennessee

The Red Foxes will Face ETSU In A Three Game Series To Open the Season

JOHNSON CITY, TN – The Marist baseball team is set to open their season with a three-game series against East Tennessee State in Johnson City, Tennessee this weekend, Feb. 13-15.
 
The Red Foxes are ranked sixth in the MAAC preseason coaches' poll after finishing 26-28 last season in seventh place.
 
Captain Will Taylor was voted to the Preseason All-MAAC Team. He pitched to a 3.36 ERA last season in 77.2 innings with 60 strikeouts.

  • The Buccaneers went 41-17 last season finishing first in the Southern Conference and losing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
    • ETSU beat Western Carolina, and Samford twice to move onto the NCAA Tournament.
    • They would lose to Louisville and Wright State in the first round to bounce them from the tournament, ending their season.
