Men’s Basketball Falls at Merrimack

Daughtry & Schofield Record Double-Doubles

NORTH ANDOVER, Massachusetts – The Marist University men's basketball team fell to first-place Merrimack by a score of 81-56 on Thursday night at Lawler Arena.
 
Summary
  • The Red Foxes scored on their first three possessions to take a 6-2 lead just 1:07 in.
  • Rhyjon Blackwell's three lifted Marist to a 20-10 lead at the 10:25 mark.
  • Merrimack outscored Marist 25-10 for the remainder of the half. The Warriors took their first lead at the 2:13 mark, and led 35-30 after 20 minutes.
  • Merrimack started the second half on a 6-2 run, which forced a Marist timeout at the 17:47 mark.
  • Todd Brogna's three gave Merrimack a 44-32 lead with 15:54 to play. Merrimack led by double digits the rest of the way. The final margin of 25 was the Warriors' largest of the game.
