NASHVILLE, TN – The Marist baseball team drops the weekend finale against the Vanderbilt Commodores 8-1. The Red Foxes lost all three games in the weekend series to drop to 0-6 on the season.
 

SUMMARY

• The Red Foxes started the scoring in the top of the second, plating one run.
  • Connor Lawrence scored on a pass ball.
• Vanderbilt would respond an inning later, in the bottom of the third, scoring two runs making it 2-1.
• In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Commodores would have another two runs come across to score.
• Vanderbilt would score another run in the bottom of the seventh and three in the bottom of the eight to go up 8-1 on Marist.
• The Commodores would finish it off in the ninth to win 8-1.

 

STATS

• Steven Mazza started the game going 4.0 innings and only letting up three hits and two runs while striking out three.
• TJ Baer recorded one hit in the game
• Lawrence also had one hit in the ballgame while also recoding a run.
