Marist Baseball Suffers A Loss To Purdue Friday Evening

Red Foxes Lost A Hard Fought Battle To Start The Weekend

Box Score HOLLY SPRINGS, North Carolina – Marist baseball started a four-game series in Holly Springs against the Purdue Boilermakers, Friday evening. In a hard fought battle the Red Foxes would lose to Purdue by a score of 9-4.
 
SUMMARY
  • The game remained scoreless through the first three innings before Purdue took a big 5-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth.
  • The Red Foxes would respond in the top of the fifth by scoring two runs.
  • In the top of the sixth Marist scored again to make it a 5-3 ball game.
  • The Boilermakers responded in the bottom of the sixth with a run of their own making the score 6-3.
