ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – The fifth-seeded Marist University men's basketball team defeated fourth-seeded Quinnipiac by a score of 77-75 in the quarterfinal round of the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall on Saturday.
- Marist jumped out to an early 5-2 lead, but Quinnipiac answered with a 10-0 run to go up seven.
- A 10-0 run, which included six points from Jadin Collins-Roberts and four from Trace Salton, put Marist up 21-19 lead at the 9:39 mark.
- With 6:52 remaining in the first half, Justin Menard was fouled on a three, and he hit all three free throws. Including these free throws, Marist outscored Quinnipiac 18-8 for the remainder of the half.
- Marist led by as much as 12 in the first half, and the Red Foxes took a 42-32 lead to the locker room.
- A 9-0 Quinnipiac run – with Grant Randall scoring all nine – tied the game at 49 with 12:23 to go.
- Randall's three at the 10:13 mark gave Quinnipiac its first lead of the second half at 53-51.

- Jadin Collins-Roberts drained two free throws with 29.4 seconds to go, which put Marist up 76-73.
- Randall then made two free throws to cut Marist's lead to one, and Rhyjon Blackwell split a pair to give Marist a 77-75 lead. On Quinnipiac's final possession, Jaden Daughtry blocked a shot, and Blackwell secured the rebound to seal the win.
- Menard led the Red Foxes with 26 points and six assists, and tied Blackwell for the team lead with four steals.
- Collins-Roberts finished with 19 points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
- Blackwell tallied 11 points, five rebounds, and four steals.
- Marist shot 9-for-18 (.500) from three-point range.
- Marist held Quinnipiac to .365 shooting (23-for-63) from the field.
