Box Score EASTON, Pa. - The Marist University women's tennis team delivered a dominant 7-0 victory over Lafayette in a non-conference match on the road Sunday afternoon.
After dropping the No. 1 doubles match, Marist responded with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 to secure the doubles point. Senior Cloe Clements Sorde and sophomore Lola Ungerman earned a 6-1 win, while sophomore Viktoria Lorentzon and junior Jane Wright followed with a 6-1 victory.
In singles play, Marist controlled every court. Junior Caterina Assi battled to a three-set win at No. 1, while Lorentzon secured a straight-set victory at No. 2. Clements Sorde, freshman Yasmin Asnis, freshman Tessa Wachtel, and freshman Moxi Liang each earned wins in straight sets to complete the sweep.
