WORCESTER, Massachusetts – Marist Men's Rowing heads to New England to race against Holy Cross, Boston University, Temple, and Hobart, on Saturday April 18.
Marist competed in the Occoquan Duals where they had two top finishes. The first varsity eight, consisting of
Tessa Kurtzman (cox), Will Shockley (stroke),
Ryan Tuttle (7),
Charlie Latimer (6), Reed Livingston (5),
Kevin Murray (4),
Nicholas Scarano (3),
Tristan Wistuba (2), and Holden Kopscik (bow), achieved a first place finish with a time of 5:36.3.
The second varsity eight, consisting of
Liam Ventresca (cox),
Ian Sondhof (stroke),
James Hadjandreas (7),
Jesse Hinkle (6),
Nolan Libby (5),
Matthew Roscoe (4),
Mark Carguello (3)
Dane Valenti (2), and
Matthias Topping (bow), also finished first in their race with a time of 5:44.0.
These top finishes helped propel the Red Foxes into the top 25 of the IRA/IRCA's coach's poll, to place at #23.
The Red Foxes return to Poughkeepsie for the first time this season, to compete in their senior day race on Saturday April 25th.
