POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – More than 2,000 Red Foxes came together for Marist University's third annual Day of Giving, showcasing a powerful commitment to Division I athletics and student-athlete success. The initiative generated over $800,000 in support of Marist's 23 varsity programs and athletic initiatives—marking an increase of more than 30% from last year's total.
These funds will have a direct impact on Marist's 650 student-athletes, providing essential resources to help them succeed both on the field and in the classroom.
"We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support for our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics Tim Murray. "We extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated alumni, families, friends, and supporters. Your generosity makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our student-athletes, and we truly appreciate your continued belief in our programs."
Donors had the opportunity to direct their contributions to specific teams and programs, with 100% of gifts going directly toward enhancing the student-athlete experience.
The Day of Giving included more than 2,000 donors, with several programs surpassing the $30,000 milestone, including Football ($227,868), Men's Rowing ($144,627), Women's Rowing ($117,145), Men's Lacrosse ($95,099), and Water Polo ($43,083).
