Marist Baseball Travels Across the Hudson to Face Army West Point

The Red Foxes Take on the Black Knights Tuesday Afternoon

WEST POINT, New York – Marist Baseball will venture across the Hudson River to battle Army West Point on Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. ET. The Red Foxes look to bounce back after getting swept this past weekend. They come into this one with an overall record of 14-23 and a conference record of 13-8.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes were in Niagara Falls where they got swept by Niagara University in three games.
    • Game one: 10-6, loss.
    • Game two: 8-3, loss.
    • Game three: 11-6, loss.
  • AJ Brotz had a great weekend going 7-11 with one RBI, three runs scored, and a homerun.
  • Andrew Speranza had a strong relief outing on Saturday, going 3.0 innings, one hit, zero runs, and six strikeouts.
SCOUTING ARMY WEST POINT
  • The Black Knights enter the match with an overall record of 22-16 and a conference record of 12-8.
  • Most recently they took on Bucknell in a four-game series where they went 3-1.

    • Overbeek is slashing a .284 average with a team leading 1.191 OPS.
