Marist’s Gino Cammilleri Promoted to General Manager

Cammilleri Enters His Second Season on Coach Willis’ Staff

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist head football coach Mike Willis has announced the promotion of Gino Cammilleri to General Manager.

Cammilleri's responsibilities in this role will include overseeing operations, logistics, and the program's player development initiatives. He will support Coach Willis in executing a long-term roster strategy. He will also have an active involvement in recruiting efforts, including evaluating prospects, participating in visits, and developing both a recruiting staff and student intern program. He will serve as a liaison to NFL teams, advancement offices, and local businesses while contributing to fundraising strategy, resource allocation, and improving the day-to-day experience for players.

"I'm fired up to promote Gino Cammilleri to the position of General Manager," Willis said. "Gino's fingerprints can be felt all over our program – he is an extremely important partner in our recruiting, operations, and player development programs.

"I'd like to thank Director of Athletics Tim Murray and Executive Vice President Geoff Brackett for their ingenuity in the creation of this position. I'd also like to thank the Marist Touchdown Club for their record-setting support on the Day of Giving, as it allows our program to meet the staffing challenges of modern Division ! football while providing our players with a world class experience. I am thrilled that Gino and his wife Jenn will continue as central members of our Marist Football family. Marist got better today!"

Cammilleri served as Director of Football Operations last season. He arrived at Marist with seven years of experience in football operations, including player evaluation, database management, film breakdown, scouting, recruiting, and coaching.

Cammilleri has worked at College Gridiron Showcase, where he served as assistant director of scouting & personnel. He also held scouting, analysis, and research positions at Tracking Football, Rocky Mountains Classic, Telemetry Sports, NextGen Prospect, ALL22, and Pro Football Focus.

During the 2023 season, Cammilleri was a football scouting and recruiting analyst at the University of North Dakota. In the 2022 season, he worked at Green Mountain High School as the freshman program's offensive coordinator, and he also served as video coordinator.

Marist is heading into its third season under Willis' leadership in 2026.
