AJ Brotz and graduate student
Jack Sullivan have been named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Championship Team.
In four games, Brotz led the Red Fox offense, going 10-19 (.526) in the leadoff spot with one RBI, one triple, and seven runs scored. In a 13-8 win over Merrimack, Brotz recorded the go-ahead RBI with a perfectly executed bunt single in the eighth inning, to help keep the Red Foxes alive.
Brotz was a Second-Team All-MAAC selection, where he started in every game for Marist, slashing a .315 average with 70 hits, 33 RBIs, three homeruns, and 13 doubles.
Sullivan came out of the bullpen in both Red Fox wins of the tournament. In both of his appearances combined, he was dominant with 4.0 innings, one hit, zero earned runs, and six strikeouts. In the 10-8 win over Canisius, Sullivan pitched the ninth, striking out two of the four batters he faced and recording a save. In his second appearance, in the 13-8 win over Merrimack, Sullivan pitched the final three innings, only allowing two batters to reach base, while recording a win.
Sullivan appeared in 14 games for Marist in the 2026 season, pitching to a 3.38 ERA and recording 24 strikeouts in 24.0 innings pitched, while racking up two wins and two saves.
