POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – For the second straight year, the Marist Athletics Department set a school record as 379 Red Foxes were named to the Metro Conference Academic Honor Roll.

The previous record of 375 was set last year. Marist has exceeded 300 honorees for seven straight years.

Marist's honorees come from 29 different states in addition to Washington, DC: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington.

Marist's honorees come from 22 nations: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.

To be eligible for the Metro Conference Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. The student-athletes honored cover 21 of Marist's 23 Division I sports, with the exception of football and men's rowing.
