POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Metro Conference announced its men's basketball schedule on Thursday.
 
Marist will have 20 games against conference foes in the 2026-27 season, with 10 taking place at McCann Arena.
 

Opponents

• Marist will face eight teams both at McCann Arena and on the road: Canisius, Iona, Mount St. Mary's, Niagara, Rider, Sacred Heart, and Siena.
• Marist will face four teams only once:
  • The Red Foxes will face Fairfield and Manhattan at McCann Arena, but not on the road.
  • The Red Foxes will travel to Quinnipiac and Saint Peter's, but not face either at home.

 

Schedule Facts

• Marist's opening conference weekend in December will consist of a home game vs. Sacred Heart (Friday, Dec. 4) and a trip to Iona (Sunday, Dec. 6). The Red Foxes will resume conference play with a trip to Mount St. Mary's (Tuesday, Dec. 29), which will close out the 2026 part of the schedule.
• The 2027 portion of the schedule opens with home games against Canisius (Friday, Jan. 1) and Niagara (Sunday, Jan. 3). It marks just the third time in program history Marist will play on New Year's Day, with this being the second game at home and the first with fans in attendance, as the last one occurred with Covid restrictions in 2021 against Niagara.
• Four of Marist's ensuing six games will take place on the road, but the Red Foxes will close out January with back-to-back home games against Iona (Friday, Jan. 29) and Siena (Sunday, Jan. 31).
• Marist opens February with a trip to western New York to face Niagara (Friday, Feb. 5) and Canisius (Sunday, Feb. 7).
• The Red Foxes' final home games are against Mount St. Mary's (Friday, Feb. 19) and Rider (Sunday, Feb. 21).
• Marist closes out the regular season at Siena on Sunday, Feb. 28.
• The 2027 Metro Championship will take place from Thursday, March 4 through Tuesday, March 9. The top 10 teams in regular-season play will qualify for the championships.
