POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist University men's soccer team continues non-conference play against Cornell on Saturday, Aug. 29. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. under the lights at Tenney Stadium and on ESPN+.
 

Last Time Out

• The Red Foxes played Air Force to a 0-0 draw in a non-conference matchup on Aug. 23 at Tenney Stadium.
• Marist controlled the opening half, recording 10 shots and putting five on target, but were unable to find the back of the net as the match remained scoreless at halftime.
• The Red Foxes generated several scoring chances late in the second half. Senior Chris Verheul, sophomore Ronan Hogg and junior Caio Cavaletti all recorded shots on target, but nobody was able to find the back of the net as the two teams played to their second consecutive draw to open the season.

• Cornell was picked to finished second in the Ivy League Preseason Poll.
• The Big Red return eight starters and 7 of their top 9 scorers from a 14-4-2 (5-1-1 Ivy) team that reached the first Ivy Tournament championship game in program history and won an NCAA Tournament game a season ago.
• This will be the first game of the season for Cornell.

History vs. Cornell

• This game will mark the fourth all-time between the teams, with the Red Foxes still in search of their first win.
• The last time the two squads faced off, Cornell earned a 3-0 victory on Aug. 31, 2024 in Ithaca.
