EASTON, Pennsylvania – Marist Volleyball opens its season at the Maroon and White Classic, hosted by Lafayette College. The Red Foxes will play two matches on Saturday and one on Sunday.
On Saturday, they will face Lafayette College at 1:30 p.m. and the University of Delaware at 4:30 p.m. Closing out the weekend, they will take on Montana State at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
- The Red Foxes finished last season with an overall record of 10-29 and a conference mark of 8-10.
- In 2026, they were selected eighth in the Metro Preseason Poll.
- Senior Sara Dasic was named to the 2026 Preseason All-Metro Team.
- Marist will play 31 matches, including 18 Metro matchups, during the 2026 campaign.
- The Leopards are coming off a 2025 campaign in which they finished with a 4-22 record.
- This will be Lafayette's first match of the season.
- Players to watch:
- Amu Mbeche-Odhiambo led the team offensively last season with 283 kills, while adding seven assists and a team-best 310 points.
- Defensively, Mackenzie Calhoun ranked second on the team with 192 digs last season.
- The Blue Hens finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 8-17.
- Delaware opens its season at the Maroon and White Classic, facing Montana State in its first match.
- Players to watch:
- Anna Logan Gillens led the offense last season with 287 kills and 319 total points.
- The Bobcats finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 13-15.
- Montana State will open play at the Maroon and White Classic against Delaware and Lafayette before wrapping up the weekend against the Red Foxes.
- Players to watch:
- Joelie Spelts is a returning leader on both offense and defense after posting 147 kills, 71 digs, 88 blocks, and 200.5 points last season.
- The Red Foxes remain on the road and head to Denver, Colorado, for the Denver Invitational from Sept. 3-5.
- Marist will face the University of Idaho, SIUE, and the University of Denver over the course of the weekend.
