POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University football team returns to action on Saturday, when the Red Foxes play Patriot League foe Lafayette on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m.

• Marist has blocked a kick (punt, PAT) in both of its games this season.
• Marist went 7-for-10 on third down conversions vs. Franklin Pierce. The average length on Marist's conversions was 3.7 yards, and the Red Foxes had longer than six yards to go on third down just once the entire game.

• Sonny Mannino has accounted for 40 total touchdowns since the start of the 2024 season (26 passing, 14 rushing). He has led the team in rushing touchdowns each of the previous two years, and he has a team-high three this season.
• Mannino has accounted for 75 percent of Marist's total offense this season, and was responsible for 82 percent vs. Franklin Pierce.
• Mannino ran for a career-high 110 yards against Franklin Pierce. He threw for 203 yards and accounted for three total touchdowns (two rushing, one passing).

 

About Lafayette

• The Leopards were picked to finish fifth in this year's Patriot League Preseason Poll.
• WR Carson Persing and OL Sean Wilson were both named Preseason All-Patriot League.
• Head coach John Troxell is in his fifth season. He has led Lafayette to top-25 rankings in each of the last three years, marking the program's best three-year run since 1901-03.
