POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist University men's soccer team concludes non-conference play against UAlbany on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Tenney Stadium and on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
  • The Red Foxes earned their second straight victory with a 4-1 win over WCC opponent San Francisco in the first-ever matchup between the two programs on Sept. 7 in California.
  • Sophomore Adriano Iannello opened the scoring in the 13th minute for the Red Foxes. A cross from junior captain Chris Verheul was blocked by a San Francisco defender, but the ball landed at the foot of Iannello, who took a touch and fired a shot into the far-post side netting.
  • Verheul doubled the lead in the 31st minute after junior Evan Marques launched a ball up the field toward the San Francisco goalkeeper, forcing him to come off his line. Verheul side-stepped the keeper with a touch before firing the ball into the back of the net.
  • In the 51st minute, Verheul set up his brother, junior Gijs Verheul, who took a touch and blasted a shot from well outside the 18-yard box into the back of the net to make it 3-0 Marist.
  • Just over a minute later, graduate student Mani Diop drove a low, hard ball into the box, where a San Francisco defender redirected it into his own net to put the Red Foxes ahead 4-0.
  • The Dons found the back of the net in the 89th minute off a cross and header.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Gavin Mitlitski secured a career-high six saves in his second straight start.
