WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Marist University women's tennis team competed against FDU, St. Bonaventure, and Army West Point at the Army Invite this weekend, earning several individual and doubles victories across two days of round-robin play.

Junior Lola Ungerman and sophomore Yasmin Asnis led the way for the Red Foxes with three victories apiece across singles and doubles play. 

Marist opened the weekend with doubles against FDU, where junior Viktoria Lorentzon and sophomore Tessa Wachtel earned a 6-3 victory. In singles against St. Bonaventure, Lorentzon, Ungerman, Asnis, Wachtel, and senior Vihana Shresta each earned victories. Lorentzon posted a 6-4, 6-2 win, while Ungerman earned a 6-4, 6-2 victory. Asnis added a 6-3, 7-6(3) win, Wachtel battled to a 7-5, 6-3 victory, and Shresta cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win. 

Against Army West Point, Asnis, Wachtel, and junior Ella Lindsey each earned singles victories. Asnis cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win, while Wachtel battled to a 4-6, 6-0, 10-8 victory. Lindsey added a 7-5, 7-5 win. 

Day two began with Marist competing in doubles against Army. In doubles against St. Bonaventure, Ungerman and Asnis teamed up for a 6-3 victory. 

Marist closed the weekend against FDU in singles, highlighted by victories from senior Caterina Assi and Ungerman. Assi earned a 7-6(2), 6-2 win, while Ungerman rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 victory.
