POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University football team will take on Presbyterian in its Pioneer Football League opener on Saturday at Tenney Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon.

White Out

• The Red Foxes will be hosting a White Out for Saturday's game, as the team will be wearing all-white uniforms.
• Fans are highly encouraged to wear white.
• White apparel will be sold at the McCann Pro Shop starting at 9 a.m., and will be available at the Stadium Pro Shop beginning at 11 a.m.

 

1994 Team Honored

• The 1994 Marist football team, which captured the MAAC Football League championship, will be honored during the game.
• This was the Red Foxes' second conference championship in its varsity history, and its first as a Division I program.

 

National Semifinalist

• Graduate guard Will Aaronson was announced as a national semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy on Wednesday.
• Aaronson is in his second year in the program after competing at Wesleyan as an undergraduate. He has started all 15 of the Red Foxes' games at left guard since the start of the 2025 season.
• Aaronson is pursuing his Master's in Business Administration.

 

National Leaderboard

• Marist has blocked a kick in each of its first three games this season, with blocked punts at New Haven (Dylan Gilmore) and Lafayette (Jayden Taylor), and a blocked PAT against Franklin Pierce (Braylen Ricks).
• Through Sept. 19, Marist is tied for third in the FCS in total blocked kicks, trailing only Valparaiso and Weber State, and is second in the FCS in blocked punts, trailing only Valparaiso.
• Tyrell Powell is third in the FCS with 2.0 passes defensed per game (six break-ups in three games).
• Kade Werner leads the PFL and is 14th in the FCS in solo tackles per game (5.67).
• Marist is ranked 10th in the FCS in Red Zone Defense, allowed the opposition to score on 61.5% (8 of 13) trips inside the 20. Marist has allowed just one touchdown in these opportunities in addition to seven field goals.

 

Close Calls

• Marist's three games this season have been decided by a total of 14 points, with all three being single digits.
• Last season, four of Marist's eight PFL games were one-score contests.

 

Broken Up

• Marist's 10 pass break-ups at Lafayette were its most since having 10 against Jacksonville on Sept. 26, 2015.
• Chase Hatton and Tyrell Powell each had a career-high three break-ups.

 

PFL History

• Marist is 62-66 all-time in PFL play, having joined the league in 2009. Marist is 9-14 in September, 33-27 in October, 20-24 in November, and 0-1 in December.
• Marist is 31-34 at home, and 31-32 on the road in PFL play.
• Marist won a share of the PFL championship in 2013.

 

About Presbyterian

• The Blue Hose defeated UVA Wise in their season opener, and they dropped.their last two to a pair of Southern Conference opponents, nationally-ranked Mercer and Western Carolina.
• Presbyterian went 10-2 overall and 6-2 in PFL play last season.
• The Blue Hose were picked to finish seventh in this year's PFL Preseason Poll, with OL Marcello Coleman named to the Preseason All-PFL Team.
