Caroline Baratta Promoted To Assistant AD/Business Operations

Former Marist Student-Athlete Has Worked in Department’s Business Office Since 2023

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Caroline Baratta, whose nine-year association with Marist includes time as a student-athlete, coach, and administrator, has been promoted to Assistant AD/Business Operations.
 
Baratta began her time in the department's Business Office in December of 2023, when she served as Athletics Business Manager. She oversees ticket operations, department corporate card activity, and all facets of usage for department vehicles. She handles payment of department invoices and assists with coordinating team travel, varsity sports budgets, and purchasing.
 
Baratta first came to Marist as a student-athlete in the fall of 2017. She played softball for the Red Foxes from 2018-22, and she was the only player in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference history to win Defensive Player of the Year twice in her career. She is one of three players in program history to earn four First Team All-MAAC honors, and she concluded her playing career as the program's all-time hits leader. Baratta was Marist's NCAA Woman of the Year
 
For the two seasons following her playing career, Baratta served as an assistant coach with the softball program. She helped the Red Foxes win the 2023 MAAC championship and the 2024 MAAC regular-season title.
 
Baratta majored in Business Administration as an undergraduate, and earned her Bachelor's degree in 2021. She earned her MBA in 2023. She was a two-time Academic All-District selection during her playing career, and she made the Dean's List in all eight semesters as an undergraduate.
